CHLOE WEBB!

When I first fell in love with the series as a teen when it originally aired, I was so intrigued by Dana Delany & Marg Helgenberger especially as their characters' friendship evolved during the course of those four short seasons...upon finally purchasing Seasons 1 & 2 this Christmas, I totally fell in love with Chloe's sensational Laurette character and her storyline arc. As gritty and grainy as Season 1 was, it seemed more complete with a definitive beginning/middle/ending as seen through the eyes of Laurette's singer character, as I truly identified with her perspective as a good time party gal civilian and subsequent transformation! She was nominated for Guest Actress at the Emmys that year but could have easily qualified for Best Actress alongside Dana Delany. Their friendship, and Webb's chemistry with Brian Wimmer were fantastic! CHAO ONG, the season finale when Laurette flew the coop to pursue her music career is one of my favorite episodes of the series! Her final song "A Little Help From My Friends" while visiting the orphanage was truly heartbreaking and triumphant! I'm enjoying her wacky new role on the Showtime series SHAMELESS, and admire her as an advocate in real life for animal rights & teens struggling with addictions.

Chloe's stint on CHINA BEACH was short-lived (as part of the original conception of Laurette's journey) but unforgettable: she was funny, sexy, honest, loyal and possessed mucho rooting value/likability factor! A realistic original!
