I thought she was, it was the first thing that came to my mind when he asked her to the movies.
But that's something about adolescent love/infatuation, it can often be a fixation on someone who is unattainable for some reason. That reason being all the more hurtful when the object of one's affection thinks one is "just a kid", even if a likeable one.
Remember Bart Simpson hearing the words "Just a kid....just a kid...just a kid" fading away?
