Anyone that would say negitive things about this must not have watched the whole movie or have something personal against the actors in it. Personally I have been a Kevin Bacon and Sean Astin fan for a long time and think this was a great movie. I think the problem is that this was a low budit production and not a 20 million dollar movie. But it is just as good as one to me. Because there are some good points in this movie if you watch for it. I enjoyed it as a kid and still do almost 20yrs later.

i think some of it was filmed in New Zealand. and yea i agree its a great movie. Its a funny plot. how to deal with your camp leader who goes nuts.

I saw the whole movie and I don't have anything personal against bacon or Astin. Though I do find Astin quite annoying in interviews and things of that nature.
I truly respect your opinion and I do not wish to engage in a debate in order to presaude you... personally I can't stand this movie. The script, the music it all makes me ill.
I hated every character in the movie, I kinda wanted Astin's charcter to die. When he had to cross the bridge I was hoping he'd fall, this seemed more like a made for tv movie or an after school special.

my conspiracy theory is that you are Austin and baggin urself in the movie cause u didn't like filming so far away from home. or u had a bad camping experience too.

just kidding. :)

ps there is no debate cause u have not justified why u don't like the character or film itself. so i can't buy what your saying. though i do believe the movie is slighly off beat thats what makes it so interesting. not your adverage movie.

if there is any bad acting have a look at some B grade movies. i beleive its not the acting u hate is the role he played. dorky kid who made the wrong decisions.
But I was wondering how do u judge someone if they are bad actors?

It all comes down to whether you find the character beleivable.

Those scenes were he's narrorating in bewteen seem like he's talking to a camera.

But it's true I also hate the script, it's not all on Astin's or Bacon's shoulders, in fact it's mostly the script I dislike.

i love this movie. i had it on a crappy tape recorded from tv. i cant wait to buy it on dvd. and for lord of the rings, sean astin had to tape far away from the US in New Zealand so i know its not him bagging himself about filming so far away from home.

of all the things i miss, i miss my mind the most. "ozzy ozbourne"

How lucky i am !!
I occasionally watched white water summer (on cable TV+in Thailand)yesterday for my first time
it's such a great&classic movie that everyone should watch it
