Life in a Dangerous Time by Cutting Crew

Greatest "corny 80's song" ever. Go buy it/ download it/ whatever and see what I'm talking about! The first time I saw this movie that song was the only thing that really stuck out for me. Anyways get it if you can.

It's a VERY 80s song, but if you're nostalgic for this era, Cutting Crew CD is available on Amazon for about $12... the album is "Broadcast". It also has one of their most well-know songs "(I Just) Died in Your Arms". FYI

Cheesy??? Why is it cheesy? Great guitar, great lyrics, kind of an emotional rhythm. My fave song in the film. Managed to DL off Napster years ago, but I do remember seeing it on CD through Amazon I think.

"Cheesy" is used to define a lot of 80's movies/songs so don't take offense to it. I thought it was a great soundtrack!

great song indeed

Yep that song is so 80's (in a good way). Every coming of age teen movie of this type had at least one of these types of songs. Great stuff.

How I miss the 1980's movie music montages.

Rocky IV had about four of them, I believe.

Totally awesome 80s song. I was telling a young friend how i had this part of the movie recorded on a VHS tape just for that song. So he found it on You Tube for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zVv6Jk4BAQ

I got the soundtrack(cd) on ebay a while back. When I first posted, I only had the record. I just wish I had the movie still. I never got it. I did see that on ebay also.

Indeed. This is probably the best song in the whole film, not that the other songs aren't great as well. I've been looking for this song like forever since I first heard it in this movie. I finally found it! It's such an awesome, epic, and emotional song that can make people resonate with the notion of life being difficult and hectic to deal with yet not give up. It's the kind of song that just makes me think about the hardships of life. It was a perfect fit for Alan in the scene of him being alone on the island and trying to survive.
