All the 80s kitsch and then some...

I hate to admit it but I've never seen Wall Street. I'm watching it now and it's funny how it got so much of the time, the stuff, the clothes, etc. I got out of college in 87 and had a tiny taste of that scene. However, even as a struggling stock trader in '85, having an IBM 5051 with no hard drive is a bit far fetched. Also, anybody happening in '85 who had any need for computers had a TRS-80 Model 100, that early portable that looked like a fat ipad with a keyboard on top. Everybody had them back then.

This movie was released in 1987, It was filned during 1985. I don't know enough about computers to say whether they were current at the time, but everything else is true to the time, the clothes, the decor, the styles are all accurate because it depicts the real life styles at the time of release. Are you watching Sundance Channel? Me too. That's how I wandered in here.
