What would happen if Bud had introduced Marv to Gordon Gekko?

Seems like it was Marv's dream to meet Gordon Gekko too but he was not as persistent as Bud Foxe was and couldn't get to meet with him, he never made a move.

Well what would have happened if Bu had been really nice and brought Marv along with him one time to meet with Gordon Gekko? Then an introduction is made and Gordon throws Marv a bone, then it is up to Marv to run with it and keep him interested, basically Bud helps Marv meet with the man and Marv is suddenly a player, even if only for a few minutes or day.

Marv would have offered Gekko the Knicks and chicks. Both of which Gekko could get easily on his own :) So I doubt he would have gotten anywhere.

Seriously though - Marv just didn't have the drive or gumption that Bud did. It's hard to imagine Gekko being impressed by anything Marv would have brought to the table and wouldn't have even bothered.

I believe Marv was exactly the type of 400K a year Flying First Class Wall Street Stiff that Gekko despised. He had no use for a guy like Marv, he wanted a young, hungry, moldable shark like Bud Fox that he could turn loose on the world.

I don't believe Marvin the Mind Reader ever made THAT much.

Maybe...but he seemed to be much more established than Bud. He was wheeling and dealing all day, had bigger clients (seemingly) and wasn't cold calling. he was also handing out C-Notes, offering Knicks & Chicks. He could've been making a nice, nice living.

@Tidewatcher As soon as he met Gekko, Marv would've shat himself and then run out of the room like a little girl.

He would if he knew Gordon heard all the things he called him:

Clown
Elephant
Mr. Nice Guy
His ethical bypass at birth

iron butt
boner

Oh wait, those last two are from another movie..

Bud was playing wet nurse to Marv and Marv would never get rich on his own, he would toss a few of those bow wow stocks Gordons way and get laughed at and try some other deals which wouldnt add up to dog crap, so Marv would fail to impress Gordon and might get tossed a bone by him but fail to follow through.

Only after Bud shared his Bluestar deal did Marv even make any real money, he never got his own office because he sucked.
