What if Bud found out about the sale of Bluestar after it happened?

Bud goes to the meeting in the movie and learns about the garage sale taking place at Bluestar where Gordon Gekko has decided to break up the airline and sell it off piece by piece because as he says "Because its Wreckable all right? I took another look at it and changed my mind." all without telling Bud who simply showed up at the wrong time and found out about the sale during the meeting.

How would Bud finding out about the sale of Bluestar after it happened have changed things? Having Bud not being able to stop Gekko's plans to sell the airline and having everyone losing their jobs in the process?

Those bags for St. Petersberg would have wound up in Pittsburgh!

I think that Bud would have quit working for Gordon after that, he basically turns on him after he tries to sell and break up the company anyway, so if Gordon had done the deal behind his back and sold it off Bud would have stopped trading with him or done less business deals with Gekko and started working with someone else.

Basically Gordon would have lost his partner but would just find another one, all of Bud's friends would have been unemployed and Bud would just give his father a huge paycheck to cover his hospital bills and regular bills, Bud would have lost the respect of everyone working for Bluestar because of his involvement with Gordon too but not much else.
