The last line makes no sense

"I think I'll have a drink." Of course, they wanted the crowd-pleasing element where all the drunken adults in the crowd would relate to the protagonist, but it basically means he's another drone that upholds the law. If alcohol was legal, he'd never have problems with all this transportation, but since it's illegal, it must be bad. It just rubbed off on me the wrong way.

It was just a joke il have a drink i think you taking to seriously maybe.
Its also ironic a bit that after all elliot ness's heroics he became a drunk usually found in the bars telling stories usually exageratting them.. got in to many fights lost his family and went really downhill

During his time as an Untouchable, Ness abstained from drinking so as to set a good example for his men... I imagine by the time he was done with his Untouchables duties, he was ready for a drink!

Do young people know anything about people at all these days?

While watching the film, I felt like the reason they wanted to put Capone away was more because of all the violence he caused and the fact that he bullied bar and store owners into selling his stuff. Hence the scene with the little girl and the mom coming to talk to Ness. I feel that most of the cops, including Ness, didn't really believe in Prohibition. I think that if he were after Capone just for the fact that Capone was bootlegging, that line wouldn't make sense.
