After Owen has his encounter with Larry's ex, has anyone noticed that there is a shot of the classroom. The camera moves across the room, then it goes to Larry in bed in his apartment. It appears that the classroom and the apartment are one room!

It's trick photography. Also to show us then he's sleeping and thinking of nothing but writing/work. He answers the phone saying "cloudy" as in the line "The night was..."
