Not that I've ever really watched the movie, but I realized Jason's connection to the first teen wolf movie, "I was a teenage werewolf", starring Michael Landon. Jason played Michael's son, "James", in Little House on the Prairie, towards the last seasons. This made me wonder if Jason took the part for sentimental reasons, because he admired his TV Dad so much.
