This movie is ridiculous
I whole-heartedly agree with those of you who have said this movie seriously falls short of even bad standards through its bad acting, directing, editing, etc. I also grew up watching both of these. However, I can't help but notice some striking inconsistancies in the plot.
The blonde and brunette in the movie obviously go to the same school as Todd. They also seem to have some sort of connection with the dean because the blonde was "forced" to dance with him at the party. Yet they're dating a rival school's star boxers? What sense does that make?
Also, if Todd had already decided before the fight that it would be his last, why didn't he just fight it as the wolf and get it over with?
The premise of cramming presumably a half-semester's worth of college-level biology in one night, and learning "some old boxing tricks" in a day, seems a little far-fetched. Not to mention taking the test and fighting on no sleep. They really try to make Todd look good during the last quarter of the movie.
And what was the "tricks no one's seen for 30 years" that his uncle taught him? And upper-cut fakeout? That's original.
Music selection was horrible.
And yet I can't stop watching whenever it comes on.
