Exactly like the original in so many ways...

The same themes and scenarios. The only differnce was college, boxing and no Michael J.Fox. It's like the writer just changed locations in the script.

Agree 1,000 %. Especially towards the end where that short haired professor threatens Dean 'Gomez'. She then proceeds to walk away with a RIDICULOUS tail wagging out the bottom of her dress. SO. EFFIN. STUPID.

Dean 'Gomez' was played by John Astin who played Gomez Addams on 'The Addams Family' tv show. He's also the father of Sean Astin of the 'Lord of the Ring' films.

Many sequels suffer the "rehash curse".

I also noticed the boxing coach chomped his gum like the basketball coach in the original.

"Well he's supposed to be the same character just played by a different actor, just like the Stiles character was."

^True. "Teen Wolf Too" was initially supposed to be a direct sequel to the first film and star Michael J. Fox as Scott Howard again. When he backed out of the role, Bateman was cast and thus the 'Too' in the title was substituted for the '2'.

its fine for sequels to have similar plot elements but you'd swear they just went through the script for the first and made alterations only where needed;

both shun a brunette friend for lusting after a blonde jerk who only care about them as the wolf.

He probably backed out because he'd already done that movie! Not to mention he was now a star since 'Back to the Future ' was a huge it. So 'Teen Wolf's release being pushed back allowed it to benefit from Fox coming off a hit movie.
