I want to see "Summer School"but it's not in any videostores. I will lolok in Best Buy or Circuit City soon. What special features does the new special edition have? If it has a commentary, who speaks on it? Blockbuster does not have it in stock. I'll look in Hollywood Video next.
1- A feature-length audio commentary with Carl Reiner and Mark Harmon
2- "Inside the Teacher's Lounge" (14 minutes) is a featurette looking back at Summer School. Writer Jeff Franklin, director Carl Reiner, and cast members Mark Harmon, Patrick Labyorteaux, Robin Thomas, Dean Cameron, and Ken Olandt appear on camera to chat about their experience working on the project.
3- "Summer School Yearbook" (10 minutes) is a featurette that focuses on the young cast of the movie.
4- A theatrical trailer is provided along with a photo gallery - including a still of a deleted dance sequence cut from the movie.
Yeah I still have the VHS copy of it...I still love it after all these years, but I would like to own the DVD version since it has all the commentaries which unfortunately, you don't get on VHS!
Can anyone confirm or deny this, as I think this used to be at IMDB under the Alternate Scenes:
Was there a deleted scene where after Alan Eakian throws up at Mr. Shoop's 4th of July party, that Shoop drives him home, and Alan throws up again in his car? I have heard rumors of this scene and also that if it was cut, it was because it was deemed unnecessary.
Wow...I didn't hear about that deleted scene! I really watching the "behind the scenes" and commentaries with the director/actors from movies. I'm still going to order the DVD copy on amazon tho...
