I know this is a weird question, but does anyone know what is supposed to be in the pregnant girl's mouth in the scene where Dave and Chainsaw put make-up on everyone to scare off the new teacher? I must've seen this movie at least 20 times since it came out and I still can't figure out what the hell is supposed to be in her mouth--a ruler?

Yeah, that's what it is. I always thought they missed an opportunity for a good joke in that scene. At the end of it all when the new teacher says 'I'm not READY for high school', I always thought somebody should've said 'at her age, shouldn't she have already been in high school?'
