So, I'm 21...and I just picked up this movie...and watched it. I have become a huge NCIS fan...and obviously I think Mark Harmon is handsome. But after watching this movie, I can't take him seriously, those shirts were killing me. But it's an adorable movie and totally reminded me of high school.

Well...that was the role he was portraying-a laid back kinda of teacher, who only took that gig to get his summer's "off"-plus he was a teacher from Southern Cali-who obviously loved surfing and yes wore shorts alot-and I guess the most important thing of all-it was filmed back in 1986 and released in 1987, so that was like 23 yrs ago!
Now...may I RECOMMEND a TV movie Mark made right after "SS" finished shooting, it's called "After the Promise"-it's based on a true story from the 30's...it'll break your heart and perhaps you'll change your mind about Mark's acting after that great performance...
I've got the movie on DVD-so, let me know if you want a copy of it...

Ha ha! Actually I think there are a lot of similarities between Shoop and Gibbs. Gibbs is like a grown-up Shoop. I started watching NCIS last year and often catch a glimps of Shoop. There was even a scene in one episode that was totally stolen from Summer School. I wish I could remember what episode, probably one of the earlier ones, but he did a "this much" and squeezed someone's (probably DiNozzo) fingers together, just like Robin did to Shoop when he asked if she liked him "this much." And I totally fell in love with NCIS at that moment!
