At other schools they give it at least 2 weeks before they start summer school. They need to have a graduation and clean up the school. They need to clean lockers and classrooms and get it ready for summer school. They usually don't start the same day. If they did start the same day does that mean it was a half day for students on their last day of school.
shareNo, actually I've been to summer school before. School ended on wednesday, we had thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday off. On Monday summer school started. I think it depends with the district's rules. Just like different towns have different absense limits and such.

The one time I attended summer school, the last day of regular school was a Wednesday, and summer classes began the next Monday and ran for five weeks.

It's true. You can see from the scene where Gills corners Shoop in the parking lot, over to the very next shot where they are walking, that Shoop has a different Hawaiian shirt on and Gills has an entirely different suit on.
Agreed. I always assumed it was a different day. If you're that confused by editing, then why did the whole summer end after only 2 hours?
