I like Summer School over The Breakfast Club, but I liked Ally Sheedy's character more than any of the characters is Summer School.

Does this make any sense?

The Breakfast Club. That was a smart teen comedy while this was just a dumb formulaic one.

Well let's see... The Breakfast Club was a film (and a good one). summer school is something and it's pretty terrible.

This is probably my third favorite teen comedy of the 80's. After Three O'Clock High and The Breakfast Club.

I like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Risky Business, but they were never quite my top favorites overall. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is good, too. The first 20/30 minutes, especially. If the whole movie were as good as the first 20/30 minutes, it would probably be the greatest teen comedy ever made.

For some reason, Summer School has never seemed truly 80's to me. It's feels more like a post-80's early 90's comedy or something. Not a flaw, just an observation.
