My Own Summer School Experience

I first saw this movie in a theater in late July, 1987, when it first came out. And I was actually in college then, between my freshman and sophmore years, and myself had gone to college summer school earlier that summer, in May and June. But I did go to high school summer school as well, three years earlier, from June 11 to August 10, 1984, between tenth and eleventh grades. I had failed Algebra I in tenth grade, and decided to go to summer school that year so I would not have to take it again in eleventh grade, and could take Geometry that year. And I did pass it that time, with a C. But inspite of taking a course I really did not like and was not very good at, and having to give up a large part of my summer, including a beach trip, I really liked going to summer school and had a pretty good time, and ended up being glad I went. And this summer marks the 30th anniversary of this.
