The guy who plays Dave in this movie also had a small role in the original Back to the Future.

Near the end during the high school dance, after George has kissed Lorraine, he is one of the people dancing and I think he says, "Hey George, I heard you laid out Biff!". That is followed by a girl telling George, "Have you ever thought of running for class president?".

He is also in the Disney-produced film "The Journey of Natty Gann" as one of the orphan/homeless kid gang members Natty encounters.

He was in the movie "FEAR"with Mark Wahlberg. He played one of his buddies.

Unfortunately the guy who playe Dave died last year in an auto accident. =(

Not true. Gary Riley is an old friend of mine and is alive and well. I introduced him at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, CA last night before a showing of SUMMER SCHOOL. He introduced the film in true comedic fashion.

The Gary Riley who died in the auto accident is not the actor. Hope this helps.

That was Gary Riley's last acting credit in 1996.
