Where did the rest of the class go?
At the start of the class there were more students. Where did they go?

It's not unusual for summer school classes to thin out as the days/weeks progress. Some students give up too easily and others just don't give a *beep* The movie addressed this without blatantly pointing it out.

shareHe probably wasn't. He just used that as an excuse. I'm sure he spent the time playing basketball (he was black) and notice he didn't even come in with the other students at the end to support Shoop?
