Yes there was jelly involved in that scene because I saw it last week.

sure it's a lil gross, but the guy loves his dog.....
he even kisses wondermutt on the mouth at the very end
:)
some people love their animals.
Besides, dogs' mouths are cleaner than humans'.
shareIn that scene, he was very depressed cuz Robin rejected him and he was too lazy to go buy bread to make a PB/J sandwich, so he was mulling over his feelings with his dog-WONDERMUTT and decided to share his PB/J with him.

I have OCD, so this scene always grosses me out a little. Dogs are constantly cleaning their crotch area, and eat anything that they find on the ground, including sometimes their own poop. So Shoop feeding his dog peanut butter and jelly from his fingers, and then dipping his fingers in the peanut butter and jelly jars and then licking his fingers clean is gross.
shareIf it makes you feel any better, watch the scene carefully and you will see that at no time does the shot continue from dog's mouth to human mouth.
That is to say that the scene could easily have been shot with just Mark Harmon eating peanut butter off his finger and then later shot with him feeding the dog the peanut butter from his finger and then the two shots edited together to make it appear as if they are taking turns.
Gotta love movie magic ;)
I love the scene but you can tell that is being done because the amount and shape of the pb and j keeps changing.
shareHilarious and one of my favorite scenes. "You know what we need, Wondermutt? I mean, besides bread..."
shareA late comer to the conversation but I don't think it's gross at all. I share ice cream (and other foods) with my dog all the time. I take a bite, he takes a bite. Now if he has drooled on the spoon I will wipe it off but I even did that with my daughter when she was young. Something about slobber on my food/fork grosses me out.
