syndicated channal FX version of the stepfather

I am looking for the syndicated FX version of this film.

The channal FX has showned in the past with had extra scenes. It has an extended scene with Stephen Shellen who plays Jim Ogilvie. He has sex off screen with this lady when he asked about marriage licences. They are then seen lying together on the floor. It had extra scenes with Jill Schoelen checking out the car crash her therapist was suppose to be in. Also at the end the mother is pouring something when she hears a noise from the kitchen. It is the daughter cutting down the birdhouse outside. If anyone owns this copy please e-mail me at [email protected] I am willing to trade for it or make a copy of it and return it. thanks!

Sburt4-1, I think your best bet is to write to Anchor Bay, Elite, Sony, MGM- as I have done over the last year and request that they release this movie onto DVD. Anchor Bay and Elite speacialize in restoring and releasing obscure horror films. Write to both Anchor Bay and Elite as I have. Also, MGM has their Midnight Classics division that only releases older, obscure horror movies onto DVD. MGM's Midnight Classics has even released Lady In White, a movie that was distributed theatrically by New Buena Vista, the same company that distributed The Stepfather theatrically. Write to MGM. Sony's Screen Gems production is releasing the remake, so it's possible that Sony could get the rights to release the original onto DVD. Write to Sony as I have.

You keep coming on here asking the same thing over and over for months now and nobody is able to help you. Nobody can help you because the movie has been out of print for YEARS and anybody who's got a copy is going to hold onto it with their dear lives because they don't want risk losing it to someone who they don't know that might not return it. And those deleted scenes, they were only given to the tv networks to show. And those copies liscensed to the tv networks haven't been shown on tv for years. So anybody that's got a copy with those deleted scenes, it's a second or third generation copy taped from tv worn thin. Why would they trust those rare copies to a random stranger to copy when they might not get them back? (I'm not accusing you of being a thief, but to me and them you're a stranger). Also, why would you want a poor copy when there's a chance to get the movie released onto dvd in proper form? Take my advice and write to the aformentioned firms, as I have done.

Thanks for the advice. I will write to them. You are right that it would be a second or third generation copy. I was hoping I would get lucky since I did find a few of my other hard to find TV versions of movies and was able to trade for them. So I was crossing my fingers. Someone mention a site for torrents but I don't know if that would be the TV version plus I can't download stuff anyways. I do understand what you are saying about me being a stranger and why would anyone trust to send me a rare copy. Like I said before I was hoping to get lucky. I know myself that I would make a copy and return it because I am a movie buff who is not intereted in ripping people off. but if the foot was on the other shoe I would make a copy of my copy for someone who wanted it. so I do know where you are coming from. so no offense was taken. I just remember seeing The Stepfather on TV with the extra scenes as a teenager. I am a big Jill Schoelen fan so that is another reason this movie is favorite of mine. so maybe someday I will see the extra scenes again.

thanks.
