Good but Another Stakeout is Best
I love Stakeout but it''s not even close to Another Stakeout. AS is the best...

shareI disagree, I love AS but I think the "original" is a really bad film.
shareCan we all just finally agree that AS is far better than Stakeout and just call Another Stakeout "the original Stakeout Movie".
shareAre you out of your minds? The second one is so derivative it's not even funny.
shareYeah, I couldn't believe what I was reading when going through this thread. ANOTHER STAKEOUT is barely a good movie. Actually, Rosie O'Donnell is not bad, but it's just not a funny film. Way too serious. Dreyfuss and Estevez sleepwalk through it as if they are obligated to do it just b/c it was a sequel. And Madeleine Stowe just wasn't in it enough!

The movie was hard to watch for someone who grew up in Seattle....It obviously was filmed in B.C., judging from the mountains being right on top of the "city". I loved all the people in downtown wearing flannel shirts, as well as the indians carving a totem pole on the lawn in front of city hall. Then the big scene in a salmon cannery(?) on the waterfront. Wow. They really made an effort to make it look like the REAL Seattle!!!
I hated this movie for that reason.
errr wrong reason to hate the movie!!
it is not funny that is the reason no hate it
the original really is the best
The original is 1000 times better than A.S. Some of the best ever onhe liners and wise cracks ever in the first. The second is so forced and unfunny, its redicoulas. Rosie O'Donnel should'nt of ever been in it, and Dreyfuss and Estevez just ar'nt the same as what they were in the first.

"313 pounds?! Oh my God she could be the house!" That and many other lines like it are the reason this is better than Another Stakeout.
sharethey're both great movies but I slightly prefer this film over Another Stakeout.
shareAre you out of your friggin mind? AS not only wasn't a good movie, but it was a totally unnecessary movie! Stakeout was a light, fun flick, that was greatly enhanced by the enhancedments of Goddess Madeleine Stowe! AS had Fat Rosefed O'Donuts- nuff said!
