end credit song?

My mental database is pretty solid. That being said, I was in the grocery store and heard a song. The lyrics in chorus went,"Is it love, is it love we're after?"
I immediatley knew it was from a late 80's movie, but couldn't put my finger on. I searched the-numbers.com (great companion to imdb) and felt pretty sure when I saw the stakeout title. In all of my internet searching for a soundtrack listing...I came up with nothing. Can anyone tell me if I'm right or what other movie this cheesy pop song might be from.
Thanks,
Costanza

dont know, anyone else. i just know it was from mr. mister. It's a shame you dont hear this song much because kyrie was a bigger hit for this group and for a while, they overplayed that song

It was Mister Mister's "Is It Love" which was IMO the best of their hit songs and unfortunately you rarely hear this song on the radio unlike Kyrie and Broken Wings (which I thought still gets way overplayed on the radio today)

Another great Mr. Mister song is "Don't slow down": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhL04x4owp4&feature=kp Welcome to the Real Word is a great album.

You're right. Is It Love by Mr. Mister is played at the very end of the film and into the end credits.

The song is called "Is it Love" by Mr. Mister (great name for a band, huh?) and it appeared on their hit album "Welcome to the Real World" the year before. Also from that album were the hit songs "Broken Wings" and "Kiri" (don't remember the spelling), which is sung in the film The Squid and the Whale, probably because that film takes place at the time the song was a hit.
