When I dog wont stop humping the furniture, you should get him neutered.

I have to admit. I never really liked Keith. I only wanted Watts to end up with him because she wanted to and she deserved being happy. He was just so.... stupid and dull.

Throughout the whole movie, he annoyed me. What an obnoxious romantic! Guys like that should receive a swift kick to the pants.
Ick! I could never be attracted to him, let alone be his friend.
Poor Watts!
She should have ended up with Duncan. No there is a character. Cute, sweet, good-looking and unique, everything a high school crush should be.
Alas! The Duckies and "skinheads" (question mark?) of this world never get the girl. It is always the soft, gushy romantics, with their "dreamy" hair and blue eyes; ick, I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Oh, about the subject-line; really romantic guys remind me of dogs that wont stop humping the furniture, or your leg. It helps to get the dogs neutered; I'm just saying...
"Why, I'd horse-whip you if I had a horse."

Are you saying that you want to neuter The Human Tater-Tot???

reply

I guess I am.

"Why, I'd horse-whip you if I had a horse."

What? A good ending to this movie would have been Duckie and that old chic who owned the record store playing whiffel ball.

"I'm a vehemently anti-nuclear, paranoid mess, harbouring a strange obsession with radioactive sheep."

reply

Yep TGS, that would have been a great ending (had you gotten the right movie!)

You're thinking of Pretty in Pink. This movie is similar to that one in a lot of ways, so I can see what it's gotten you confused.

reply

I was wondering about that... trying to figure out what TGS was talking about....

"Why, I'd horse-whip you if I had a horse."

reply

I thought the movie ended with Duckie and the Old Chic who owned the record store sitting ontop of a dinning room table with a cake with 16 candles lit between them.

Do you think Duncan liked Watts really ?.Some guys, especially at high school, are mean to girls when really they like them.Jut a theory : ).I think they would have suited each other too.

reply

And what about Ray? Watts treated him like Keith treated Watts. According to your own logic, Watts should have been neutered as well or should have ended up with Ray. I felt so sorry for that poor guy, especially when he was pushing her car and didn't even get her telephone number as a reward, lol.

reply

I agree with this...I hated the way she treated Ray,he was totally enamored.lol I would have definitely picked Ray over Keith.

reply

Damn those romantic guys, damn them to hell! We need more guys like Hardy, that's a real man lol

Romantic guys remind you of furniture humping dogs? Really? The super-outgoing types remind me of that, always trying to talk to you, never taking no for an answer, I'd imagine that would get annoying quick, but then I'm not a girl, so...

Duckie started out a little over the top (now he was a furniture humping dog lol), but redeemed himself in the end. Agree with you about Duncan, loved his character, redeemed himself from the beginning, too.

I never liked Keith either, he should man up and let go of his passivity and false sensitivity. If he were so sensitive, he wouldn't let Watts do the whole love proclamation and ran off like that. I mean, your friend almost teared up saying all she cared about in the whole world was herself, her drums and you, and how can you be so cold-hearted not at least running after her to make sure she's fine.

And might I add, what courage to claim your love and risking to be rejected like that. I should put an image of Watts on my wall just to be my hero and worship her!

I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.
