'What's hanging up there, my soul? No it's my face!'

Hmmmm pretty sure Keith captured Amanda's soul in there too. That line always got to me because it's not like he just painted a picture of Amanda in a bikini looking slutty, he captured her "soul" just perfectly IMO

How do you paint someone's soul, though? She was saying that he was struck by her beauty, not her personality. He didn't exactly write her a poem about all the great things about her. He made a portrait of her face.

Agreed, and I'd also like to add that he knew nothing about her at all at the time he drew the painting, so even if he was somehow able to miraculously capture her soul in it, he would need to know what she's about on the inside to have any chance of pulling that off.

I think Amanda (being popular and pretty) was used to guys drooling over her body and worshiping her from afar, so she immediately knew that Keith was just another one of those who mistake paradise for a pair of long legs (It's just an opinion).
