I love this movie and all of the stars in it. Stoltz, Thompson, etc are terrific. Mary Stuart Materson, however, I fell in love with. SEXY SEXY SEXY! She is sooo sweet and vulnerable in this film and she still has that tough exterior to defend her vulnerablities and that makes her all the more sexy. She is just awesome. I wanted to put my arm around her and take her home with me to meet the folks. She is a keeper.

That's how I felt when I first saw SKOW as a 12 year-old boy in 1987 and that's how I still feel as a 36 year-old married father of two. Her performance is raw, unpretentious and breathtaking.

Full ack. She was my first movie character crush (and I didn't have many since). I liked her hair, her style, her humour, everything. The "practicing kiss" is my favourite kiss in movie history.

Watts was also my first real crush in 1987 after seeing the movie in the theatre. I saw the movie while on vacation in Daytona beach and I couldn't get her out of my head the entire two day drive home back to Canada.

I actually started to date a girl at age 14 because she had the Watts thing happening. There was just one problem she just wasn't Watts.

I just got done watching this for the first time. Im 27 but I too fell for Watts. She's like a Miley Cyrus with class but way hotter!!!

This film had many great performances but Masterson's was my fave.

Watts was also my fave character.
