i have never once heard of anybody declaring Happy Birthday in my entire life.

I don't know, I'm very partial to the (I'm paraphrasing) "We're going to put sodium into the water to kill the slugs." "But sodium explodes in water, that's a terrible idea!" "But it's the only way!" "I guess you're right." exchange. I unfortunately don't know the exact lines, but that's the direction it goes in. That and the "After this is all over, let's get naked and get wild." line.
