a film question

ok?...right well years ago when i was about 10 or 11 i rented this film with my mum that i thought looked good,i didnt read the box or anything,now this film left a imprint in my mind that i will never forget
but for the life of me i cannot remember what its called....
but i remember the plot ..or what i thought was happening lol...
it takes place in a hotel or apartment building and some kind of mind controlling slug starts to infect the residents,now the slug has a weird effect on people,i remember the slug kinda made everyone horny or something along those lines.
one scene i remember was a father and daughter start kissing and also some girls being pulled around on dog leashes.
this film scared the living crap out of me and i woudnt mind seeing it today and seeing what effect it will have on me
anyone know what this film is called?
