Filming location?

It says it was filmed in San Diego,CA here on IMDB.
However, while watching I thought the scenery looked familiar, and the radio station KFAT was heard being played, AND the sticker of the radio station was seen on the front of the jeep. This was (is) a real radio station in the Gilroy/Watsonville area of CA (near Santa Cruz, where I live). The radio station later became KPIG, which it still is to this day. Kinda funny considering the movie!
Anyway, I am strongly suspicious that at least some of the movie was filmed in my local area. Any one have any knowledge of this?

Well the filming location also says 'Lakeside'. I don't know if that's any help though :)

Well, you can see this VFW Post in the movie, the kids drive by in their jeep and honk their horn at some other kids who are putting up a sign for a "KFAT Pig Out". lol

That building is in Lakeside, California.
