What is the structure of the "I'd buy that for a dollar" show?

Care to speculate? I mean on the surface it's about seeing scantily clad young ladies objectified by a balding bespectacled creepy uncle type, but what is the format?

reply

Is it a grotesque proto-Shark Tank?

In the context of the world in the film isn't it that society has degenerated so much down the toilet that the baldy bloke was probably a symbol of how far it sank
I think it's a spin on Benny Hill

Buddy i think you're Slime

Apparently in the script he goes to jail for Harvey Weinsteining the girls.

Benny Hill type of humor, where the gags end up with the guy saying how awesome is his situation by repeating the catch phrase.

reply

Yeah I figured it was like a mix between Benny Hill and the old Monty Python skits.

Not a show. It's supposed to be a commercial. What they're selling I couldn't tell you.

reply

Couldnt be more wrong. People don't sit around outside the streets of Detroit and break the glass of electronic stores to turn up the TV to hear a commercial.
