Favorite panning shot

At the movie's final board meeting, when Dick Jones says that he's got an ED-209 guarding the building, check out the shot immediately afterwards.

There's a panning shot of Murphy's car arriving at the building, then the camera continues the pan and then zooms in on the ED-209. Instead of a bunch of ADHD cuts, it's all there in one terrific shot. Bliss.

Indeed. Paul Verhoeven, come back to Hollywood!! Make another over the top action/sci fi masterpiece!

I'm just on my way up to Clavius.

I also like that scene, seeing Ed-209 at a distance really accentuates his purpose as a guard-droid as opposed to a villain within a closed space as is the rest of the movie. Death by droid is an incredibly brutal, but effective illegal parking deterrent.

@TheSouthernDarruin And I thought a wheel clamp was bad.

@Kojiro_Vance I want Verhoeven to finally make Crusade:

Arnold's too old - maybe Verhoeven could get The Rock.

I loved that shot too...I also liked the sound of the car rev while 209's upper body is turning around like something's about to go down. The whole zoom in shot is like "Y'all remember me?"
