Any good robocop films other then the first

So I love the original robocop and have the trilogy aswell as the prime derectives series however I find myself unable to enjoy any of the except the first.
I tried watching the series and it was terrible.
I loved the prime derectives series and the TV show when I was a kid but now watching them again it's just stupid none of them have the satire that made the first so great.
So are there any films or shows on par with the original?
I'd say I enjoy the remake more then number 3 or prime derectives series. Maybe not as much as robocop 2 which is great until the third act.

I think it goes Robocop, Robocop 2, robocop Remake, Robocop 3, Robocop the series, prime directives.

Robocop 2 is equally as good as the first, if not better. I prefer it to the first. Robocop is much more refined and Cain is a fantastic villain in both forms. I watch 2 more often than 1. I don't watch any of the others.

Prime directives below robocop 3 and TV series?
I'd put them as robocop 1, robocop remake, robocop 2, prime directives 1-3, robocop 3, TV series and finally prime directives 4

I don't think any of them are close to being on par with the first though

I've seen the first Prime Directives movie and watched about half of the 2nd one. They're very poor compared to the first RoboCop and even RoboCop 2. Prime Directives is more comparable to RoboCop 3.

There are none, really. It's only part 1 that's the best and hasn't had anything else come close to being a great followup to it.

reply

No, nothing at all.

I mean, I like all the Robocop movies and shows. But there's nothing that comes close. Robocop 2 was a really good attempt. But it was, and still is a huge disappointment that they didn't bring back Basil Poledouris. If it had the real Robocop music, it would have been so much closer to the original. And the whole style of the movie changed with the director.

So this is sadly a once in a lifetime thing that we probably will never see again.

Even if they attempted to make a sequel now and really tried to bring back the original magic, like Lucasfilm tried with Star Wars The Force Awakens, it still wouldn't be the same. And the story of the first is also hard to follow. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. All in the same movie. There was never left much room for a sequel.

Yeah, basically not...RoboCop 2 was such an unfortunate follow-up, only Peter Weller saves it from being completely unwatchable. That guy who posts that part 2 supercedes it seems the type who likes bad Movies. No other RoboCop related media follows the first with similar quality of vision. It's a real shame as the first especially the extended version is such a good film. Honestly though, where else was there left for the story to go?

That's what the Remake attempted to do...make it possible for him to continue a relationship with his family...well, son really, cause he had no real physical way to be a husband like that...it's just too awkward.

Wake up, Time to DIE.
