how the Coens came up with 'Unpainted Arizona'

Decades ago, before Rudy Boschwitz was elected a US senator in 1978, he ran a chain of lumber/home improvement stores called "Plywood Minnesota."

Of course, Boschwitz never changed _his_ name to Minnesota.
