Having its green goo and eating it
Love the ending to this movie.
The guy having the dream, thats not a dream, within a dream!
Explains nothing. Suggests lots of things. Are we all screwed?(or was it ALL a dream?)
I like how like Thing, Carpenter's first film of the apocalypse trilogy, Prince Of Darkness manages to have its cake and eat it. It manages to scare you with what you don't understand, get you nearer to understanding and defeating it and the says "no-such luck, buddy".
I know that horror movies often do this switcheroo, "It's not over" gag at the end but The Thing and Prince of Darkness seem crafted to make that statement. We are fùcked, pal.
Glasgow's FOREMOST authority Italics = irony. Infer the opposite please.
