Very Blurry when Dutch falls from waterfall

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but just wondered if anyone knew why that shot was really blurry?

I read it was because of the wrong film was used that day and they only did that stunt once.

That's correct, at one stage they actually loaded the wrong film stock into the camera.

Don't put the devil in the picture, cause' the religious groups won't wanna see it.

maybe because it would have been too obvious it was a stunt double.

Yea, I was wondering the same thing. I thought some other shots were grainy as well.

I always thought it was either a digital zoom or they used a high speed camera that required a faster more grainy film.
