Laughed so hard

In the theater when I first saw it that, several times, I was crying and could barely breathe. Thinking back on a few of the scenes from time to time made me giggle, at least for a few days.

Neil Page has got one! "Three coins in a fountain", no? you guys dont know this one?

The part that made me laugh the hardest was when they were driving in between the two semi's and Del appeared as the Devil!

And yet it's amazing that it is still among the less funny films Steve Martin has done, I still used to laugh during some of his other classics to the point of crying and barely breathing, every once in a while i get to re-watch them with these same exact reactions over and over again, those are Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Pink Panther 2, The Man With Two Brains, Bowfinger, Sgt.Bilko and All Of Me. Usually because of some scenes during the middle or the end of those films, they're just brutally hilarious.

C'mon, Bowfinger and Sgt. Bilko funnier than Planes, Trains and Automobiles? Shame on you for even saying it!

Nah, PT&A is easily my favorite, and most watched, of all Steve Martin films. I love it. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels might be the runner-up.

I loved it. Apparently not too many agree. I felt it was witty with many good scenes. For me it also demonstrated what we all know;many people struggle in silence. Tolerance and patience and understanding of others. We’re all entitled to be here. Most importantly it was quite poignant. I’m a sucker for a happy ending🤗🤗🤗

Apparently not many agree? How did you arrive at that conclusion?

I think plenty of people regard it as an absolute classic and THE movie to watch every Thanksgiving. I know I do!

I remember seeing this in the theater back in 1987, and I laughed so hard during the Owen scenes I couldn’t catch my breath. I was leaning to the right, with my right arm across my stomach. The girl I was with, who I married a few years later (we’re still married), was also laughing during that scene, but she really lost it at the frozen dog shot. We quote this movie all the time.

One more thought about the laughter: I also remember the AUDIENCE laughing a lot, especially at the underwear scene.
