To me this is one of, if not the best ending of all time. You can knock the acting, the story, the goofs, the cheesy 80's aspect all you want, but that ending still gives me goosebumps to this day. What are you some of your best endings that match or even beat the ending to Over the Top? My first thought was the ending to The Last Dragon: the Bruce Leroy vs. Sho'nuff fight.

i do like the happy ending of over the top but i would say one flew over the cukoo's nest ending is the best in my opinion. Just watch it and you'll understand what i mean. You can say it captured my heart. I recommend you watch the entire movie as well, it was so good.

I did recently, and you are right it is great! Danny Devito did a parody of it on Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It put a big smile on my face.
