Why didn't the Lincoln email all those letters?

Lincoln wrote hundreds of letters to Michael but the mother or grandfather kept them from Michael so he didn't know about his father. My question is why didn't Lincoln just email? It would have been a lot easier and only Michael would have access to them because of password and such. They could have avoided many headaches and heartaches to begin with. But then there would be no movie. Thoughts?

Uh, this is either a joke topic or you didn't realize that the movie came out in 1987, when email wasn't even an option.

And also, why didn’t Stallone and his kid just use a damn cell phone when they wanted to talk to the mother? And why couldn't Stallone get Jason Statham to at least do a cameo?

I couldn't believe the scene where Mike finds all of the letters that Hawk sent him. When you don't want someone to get their mail, you destroy it or throw it away. You don't keep a collection of it in a poorly hidden spot. As I watched that scene, all that I could think was, "Is this supposed to be dumb on purpose? Do they really think this is believable for a second?".

Even if they had email, those could have been kept from the boy too.

I assume (hope!) the OP is trolling.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
