This movie is The Wizard with arm wrestling

It feels like Stallone took the story of The Wizard, changed the characters names, added arm wrestling and called it a day. They even have the power glove kid scene at the arcade.

Pretty much, although this came out before the Wizard.. these were both just movies built up on 80s cliches

The Wizard, Over the Top and Rain Man are all kind of similar.

and he did this all before The Wizard came out... Stallone is the real wizard.

Except that The Wizard came out after this. But yeah, I thought of The Wizard too while watching this.
