Did Wes Kraven ever get to sue J.K. Rowling?

It's clear she stole the idea for Harry Potter from Will's dream character.

Rowling stole ideas from pretty much everywhere. The idea of the character in this film is not that original to begin with.

True, he reminded me a lot of the magician kid from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

She also stole from the troll movies. The characters name is Harry Potter. Which the movie had witches trolls magic etc.,,

I think if anyone could sue Rowling it would be Neil Gaiman. 'Books of Magic' has alarming similarities to Harry Potter.

"Living our maggot lives, dreaming of becoming flies."

That dream character is pretty much in almost any D&D group. I've met plenty of real people like him. Well minus the dreaming of evil guys with claw hands.

I believe that HP was primarily "inspired" by The Books Of Magic (1990):-
