I have seen modern day horrors that don't look as great or organic as the make-up in this movie.

The actors spent hours in the make-up chair and it showed. It was wonderfully creepy and effective. They don't make em like this anymore.

They sure don't, they don't have the same makeup, the same effects, the same REAL look instead of 'oh it's so totally a CGI background, TOTALLY CGI effects', the same plots, the same writing, they don't have ANYTHING good anymore.
