Jay thought she did and that's why he went out with her figuring she'd put out with him too, now I can understand why even if she didn't she told him it was none of his business but still if you didn't, there shouldn't be a problem in saying so. So what does everyone think?

True, the basic horror movie 'rules' do seem to largely apply here, the one I always wondered about though was Helen, she didn't seem to break any of the 'rules'.

I know! That's one thing I really liked about it, not only does he make it to the end, but he SURVIVES.

shareI'd say yes. There where moments when you could feel the connection. Like when Judy sees that Sal is at the party, stops him from getting beat up, then gets this special smile on her face...a smile I never saw her have with Jay. Most likely they were each others first. That would explain the strong emotions we saw them have for each other when things got tough. Notice how Sal starts turning into the hero? Don't think he would have taken on a demon to save anyone else.

Poorly Lived and Poorly Died, Poorly Buried and No One Criedshare
That's one of the things that I love about this movie; the virgin dies first and the black guy lives. Think about it; Helen was the only female party goer to not show some skin. It's never hinted at that she's sexually active and she kicks off the gore. Roger, who by 80's horror movie standards shouldn't have made it past the one hour mark ends up saving Judy and surviving the night.
I always got the impression that Judy had more than just passing affection for Sal.

I'm good friends with the writer of this film and a lot of the ideas were to embrace horror conventions - but also turn a few on their head.
A prime example being the black character surviving - that almost never happened and to this day is still a rarity. It also was confirmed by him to me that Judy was NOT a virgin as in early drafts of the screenplay - she was pregnant. They didn't outright say it but it's most definitely hinted at and left up for the audience to determine.
If you want the straight forward answer; Judy was not a virgin.
Yeah he banged Judy and just like a typical p#ssy whipped man, we get a lil p#ssy and now we think we own the woman lol, thats basically why Sal showed up at Judy's house at the beginning of the movie and he followed her to the party and he died saving Judy's life...now no man will do all that unless he banged the chick.
