i just recently viewed this movie again. it was such a good movie. anyway i was wondering how pregnant was nadine when the movie started it seemd like her and her husband vernon were seperated for a while by the fact that he was almost engaged to some one else. obviously nadine was still as thin as a rail so she couldnt have been more than a couple months. i always though wow her husband sure met someone else fast.
shareI'd say she was very barely along. There was no "baby bump," and she was still very agile. As for her husband, I suspect he "met someone" while the were still together.
shareVernon's fiancee says at one point that "six months ago I didn't even know him yet". so it's probably a very recent fling. Nadine and Vernon's relationship is so messy that I can totally see them hooking up one evening (considering their strong chemistry), even after they became separated.

I think she found out at the very begging, credits still rolling, when she throws something against the wall. That's the impression I got anyway.
