Cher was 42 and Nick was 24...wow

I know!! I'm just seeing this movie for the first time and as a relatively young person, I was blown away by the pairing. You almost never see an older woman-younger man pairings unless the film is pretty much only about their relationship and how "taboo" it is. But this film was more than that. Plus, strangely enough, Cher and Cage actually had chemistry. Cher also looked amazing -- despite the grey hair, there wasn't one wrinkle on her flawless face.

I'm watching this now and was just thinking how absolutely beautiful she looks! Even before the makeover lol That said she looks to be in her late 30s. Nick however looks quite a bit older than 24 but nonetheless totally hot. At any rate they have great chemistry in this film and they look darn good together.

I also agree with the other poster in that the film is not at all focused on their age differences. It's justvabout two passionate people.

I'm 18 years older than my husband and no one would ever guess. I love the passion Nicholas has for Cher in this movie. It's endearing and reminds me of my husband when we were dating.

You're confusing the actual age of the actors with the age of the characters they play. Johnie looked like fifty, his younger brother Ronnie looked like 30-something. Cher looked like a well preserved 30-ish.
In this movie Cher and Nicholas Cage looked the same age to me, so the movie seemed quite believeable concerning ages.
