why didn't one of the boys read it?

It didn't say the virgin had to be a girl. But if it did then when they scary German guy should read it one kid says "He's not a virgin" but he should have said "He's not female."

You're right, one of the younger boys could have read it... I'm assuming that little 7 yr old, or whatever age he was, was still a virgin. Be kinda messed up if he wasn't. :-p

Right now, we are alive... And in this moment, I swear... We are infinite.

I would assume Shawn and Patrick were, too.

Good point.

Though in modern times 'virgin' applies to males, back in the day women were virgin and men were something called chaste.

Right. I'm gonna get technical here but back in the day, people thought that is a young woman didn't have a hymen, that she wasn't a virgin because they believed that you lost it when you had sex. While you can lose it that way, there are plenty of other ways that they could lose their hymen. Funny story is that when Diana was about to marry Prince Charles, she was given a medical exam. The purpose of this exam was to check and see is she was still a virgin. They didn't say that outright but that was the main reason for it. I'm sure they did the same thing for Kate Middleton as well.

And in horror movies of old, virgins were ALWAYS young females.
