Why was Patrick trying to see the picture of his sister undressing?

When Frank is holding the pic up everyone is jumping up trying to get it including Patrick. Strange family

Well, there are two possibilities. First, that Patrick didn't know it was a pick of his sister and he was trying to grab it so he could see a nude shot. That or he does know it's his sister and he is trying to grab it so no one else can see it. Personally I think it is the second one but that is just me.

That's how I always took it. He was trying to get it away from his friends.

I interpreted it as he didn't want his friends to see his sister that way either because he was trying to protect her modesty or would be embarrassed himself that all of his friends would tease him for having a "hot sister."

If you pause the movie when Rudy holds up the picture to black mail Patrick's sister it's not even a picture of her naked. Lol
