I have watched this movie like 12 years ago and I didn't seem to recognize Shannon Tweed then.
Can anybody tell me which character did she play??

The cast list says the she was the love goddess...what's that supposed to mean? who the heck was the love goddess? I wanted her role description not merely the name of the character,,like: she was the woman who.......!!!

Well, I'm not acting dumb here......I really do not remember for I have watched it 12 years ago, so why don't you save my day and tell me what did she do in the movie....I suspect she was someone's wife, someone aggressive or wild and P dempsey made a bet with some guys that he could get to her in her house which he did towards the end of the movie.....WAS THAT HER??????
shareYes, that was her. She plays "the love goddess." Essentially, she is an object of desire throughout the movie. People see her, but no one ever gets too close to her. She doesn't have much screen time, other than one sequence with Dempsey towards the end of the movie.

shareIn the film, she's nicknamed "The Love Goddess" by all the jocks who vie to score with her. A part of it is due to how she always remains in her bedroom and how (insanely) protective her boyfriend is to her.
The twist is that when Dempsey's character, Rudy, finally makes it into her bedroom, he finds that not only is she beautiful, but he also learns the reason she never leaves her room. She's going for her PhD degree and is spending the summer writing her dissertation thesis. What's more, she proves to be a genuinely nice person to him and protects him from Mean Gene. (The scene shows that Mean Gene isn't all that mean; at least, when she's reining him in.(
Rudy doesn't sleep with her, but just having made it into her room and appears to have knocked out Mean Gene (who accidentally knocks himself unconcious), gives him legendary status at the marina. On her part, the Love Goddess helps Rudy figure out he should be with someone who really likes him.
I thought it was cool that Shannon Tweed's character was essentially the antithesis of the "bombshell blonde" stereotype from these sorts of films. She's intelligent, educated, helpful and genuinely nice to the nerdy hero.
You are correct about this because it has been a long time since I have seen this movie because USA Network no longer airs movies like this anymore or some of the other networks so this is a cult classic that is hard to view on TV.
Actually Mean Gene is her brother who is very protective of his sister. He wants her to get her PhD and does not want anyone to interfer in the matter. That is why he is so protective of her.
You are correct about them having her play a good person in this movie instead of your typical blondes in some of the other movies during that time. Which she helps Rudy to realize he should be with the right woman and not just go after any woman.

Yes she did have a small role in this movie. Have you seen the movie Electra? I am not talking about the movie with Jennifer Garner but the one with Shannon Tweed in it?
It is a very good movie and she looks great in that movie! I was hoping that they would have made a sequel to it because they mentioned it at the end of this movie. I enjoyed watching it.
