Better than Vader and worthy of consideration of the best.

Let's not go crazy. Frank Langella was good as Skeletor but I wouldn't call him better than Darth Vader. Deserved a better movie though.

There is a various Of reason why he is.

Vader is just successful because of the string of movies and massive merchandise commercialism but what is really evil about or intimidating? Anything he has Skeletor can triumph.

Somehow I’ve never seen this movie but I did see the cartoon plenty as a kid. Does the Skeletor in this also use such scathing insults like “you cackling clowns” or “you languorous layabouts”?

It is much different, it is not the same, and somehow he much more bad ass, menacing, and ruthless.
Watch the first 10mins and you'll get an idea.
