Timeline of the Bond movies
The Connery, Lazenby and Moore Era (first chronicological standpoint)
-Dr. No
-From Russia With Love
-Goldfinger
-Thunderball
-You Only Live Twice
-On Her Majesty's Secret Service
-Diamonds are Forever
-Live and Let Die
-The Man With The Golden Gun
-The Spy Who Loved Me
-Moonraker
-For Your Eyes Only
-Octopussy
-A View To A Kill
These 14 films would make sense for Connery, Lazenby, and Moore as the same characters (Tracy, Cambridge, Bond being a commander, etc) For Bond would begin in his 30s in Dr. No and finshed by his late 50s in AVTAK. Tracy is referenced by name in FYEO and gets another reference (not by name) in The Spy Who Loved Me.
Timeline B: Dalton and Brosnan
The PTS of Goldeneye - 1986
The Living Daylights
Licence to Kill
Goldeneye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World is Not Enough
Die Another Day
I think this timeline would be a "soft reboot" starting with Dalton as a younger Bond. Some of the events from previous films are referenced still making Bond the same character. Tracy is referenced in LTK by Felix, David Hedison returns as Felix after Live and Let Die to connect both Moore and Dalton's Bond. eventhough 006 was never referenced in Dalton's films, I think that Brosnan's Bond was reevaluated because he went rogue in LTK (despite taking place in '95).
Tracy is referenced again by 006 in Goldeneye and again by Elektra in TWINE. Bond's family moto is also mentioned in TWINE after OHMSS.
Timeline 3: Craig
Craig's movies are a reboot, like Nolan's Batman isn't connected to Burton's. Casino Royale, he gets his 00 status, Blofeld is retconned to be his brother, and so on.
